These game settings will allow you to tweak the game to your liking.

To change these settings, click on Settings, located just below the puzzle.

Timer

The timer will show you how long you've been working on your current puzzle. You can pause it using the pause button next to the time, or if you don't want to see it at all, you can turn it off completely. You can always turn it back on at any time to see your current time.

Pencil Marks

As explained in the Entering Numbers chapter, pencil marks allow you to enter more than one number into a square. If you prefer not to use them, you can disable them altogether.

Effects

Simply Sudoku uses some simple effects to spice things up a little. If you don't like them, you can turn them off.

Color of Your Entries

This setting allows you to change the color of the numbers you enter. The clues you're given will always remain black.
