That's the basics of using your mouse. You can also select squares using your keyboard, which we'll see on the next page.

At some point, you may want to deselect a square. You can do this by clicking anywhere outside of the Sudoku grid.

Before you can enter numbers onto the Sudoku grid, you have to select a square. You can do this by just clicking on the square. It'll change colors to show that it's selected.

Go ahead and try clicking on one of the squares in the grid to the right.

As you can see, the square in the upper left corner has become selected. You can now use the arrow keys to select other squares around that one. Since the selected square is on the edge of the grid, moving up or left will wrap around.

Try using the arrow keys to move around the grid a little bit.
